THE INFINITY PROJECT
Throughout the last few years, I did research and made visual and audio work about infinity. Last spring I had a chance to complete it for my senior thesis at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design in an installation piece divulging all of the work created for the project.
From February 1st to March 1st I ran a campaign on Kickstarter to fund the pressing of the book that I created for the project (all of the videos on this page were made for that campaign). I ended up accomplishing the goal swiftly, and even making some extra from all of the interest, which I put towards pressing the book on a higher quality press. It is now available at the official store.
Infinity struck me as a concept that no one gives much thought to, and I thought that was something that needed fixing. So, I spent the last year compiling a book on Infinity. The Infinity Book includes readings from some of the most profound philosophers, artists, mathematicians, and thinkers coming from the fringe of recorded history to our present day, as well as my own observations, reflections, and opinions.
Beyond the book…
I recorded and produced an album of music for the project and did a number of different explorations in video, drawing, photography, and sound. All of the elements of the project encapsulate a certain directed multimedia experience that I conjured with the intent that it would fully immerse the viewer in the project, allowing people to see that Infinity is everywhere. I also wanted to make something with multiple entrance points. Accessibility is very important to me, so providing all of these places to start was intrinsic to the design of the project.
